Meishan ( Chinese 眉山 市 , Pinyin Méishān Shì ) is a city in the Chinese province of Sichuan . Meishan has approx. 3,001,300 inhabitants (2016). 347,546 people live in the actual urban settlement area of Meishan (2010 census).
Administrative structure
The district-free city of Meishan is composed of two districts and four counties. These are:
- Dongpo District - 东坡区Dōngpō Qū ;
- Pengshan District - 彭 山区Péngshān Qū ;
- Renshou County - 仁寿 县Rénshòu Xiàn ;
- Hongya County - 洪雅 县Hóngyǎ Xiàn ;
- Danleng County - 丹棱县Dānléng Xiàn ;
- Qingshen County - 青神县Qīngshén Xiàn .
Attractions
The Bao'en Temple of Meishan (Meishan bao'en ta 眉山 报恩寺) and the Ancestral Hall of the Three Su (San Su ci 三 苏 祠) - d. H. Su Shi , Su Xun and Su Zhe - have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2006 .
