Huang Wenpan (born August 22, 1995 in Meishan ; † March 16, 2018 in Hongya County ) was a Chinese swimmer and multiple Paralympic winner in starting class S3 .

Huang Wenpan started swimming in 2010 after suffering from cerebral palsy . At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro , he won one silver and five gold medals. In each of his victories he swam world records . At the World Para Swimming Championship in Mexico City in December 2017, he also won five gold medals and one bronze medal. He was nicknamed the Flying Fish in Water .

Huang Wenpan died of injuries after a car accident in which his car hit a lamp pole. He was immediately taken to a hospital but could not be saved.
