In hop pellets is pellets of hops , the (industrial) in the production of beer the previously common use around the cones have largely replaced. The drug dosage is greatly facilitated by pellets.

During the production of the pellets, the cones are ground and then pressed. In the shape of an umbel, the hops have a density between 130 kg / m³ and 150 kg / m³. The density of hop pellets is in the range of 500 kg / m³.

The advantages of pellets are a reduced transport volume and a longer shelf life.
