Horst Blumberg

Horst Blumberg is a German economist .

Horst Blumberg received his doctorate in 1962 at the Hochschule für Ökonomie Berlin-Karlshorst with a thesis on the development of the German woolen and worsted industry in the period of the industrial revolution, especially in the period from 1834 to 1869 , experts were Hans Mottek and Alfred Schröter . In October 1966 he became a lecturer in economic history at the Institute for Economic History in Karlshorst. In September 1968, Blumberg moved to the Marxism-Leninism section of the Humboldt University in Berlin as a professor of the history of the German labor movement . In 1978 he was awarded the Silver Patriotic Order of Merit .
