Hostage of Time is a documentary from the Lebanon of 1994 , (50 min), produced by Jean K. Chamoun

Israel intervened in the civil war in Lebanon in the early 1980s and invaded Beirut in 1982 . After heavy losses and international pressure, Israel initially withdrew in part, and only in 2000 from South Lebanon.

The film follows a young doctor who has returned to Lebanon from the USA . Your village, along with 50 other villages, was destroyed in an Israeli air raid. Around 500,000 people were displaced .

Through her work with the women and children in the surrounding villages, one can gain insights into the life, hopes and dreams of the people in southern Lebanon and their attempts to build a new life for themselves.
