Hotel Deutsches Haus (Alsleben)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hotel Deutsches Haus is a listed former hotel building in the center of the small town of Alsleben (Saale) in Saxony-Anhalt .

The hotel was built in 1845 on the southeast side of the market, at the confluence of Burgstrasse and Neue Torstrasse in the market. The stately building, which extends over several parcels of the historical floor plan of the city, forms an urban counterweight to the city hall opposite . The hotel was the most important hostel in the city until the end of the First World War and was then converted into a savings bank.

In the course of urban redevelopment measures , the facade was reconstructed and set back between 1993 and 2003, with the building entrance being moved back to the market side.
