Hotel lock

Pillow case with hotel fastener and partially separated seam (schematic)

A hotel fastener is a type of fastener for covers of duvets and pillows that does not require buttons or zippers . The fabric at the open end of the cover is folded in a little on one side and sewn on the edge (see picture). The pillow and duvet are held in place by the fold. Occasionally, the term cover with a cover is used.

Duvets and pillows with hotel fasteners can be made faster than those with button fasteners, which is why they are particularly used in hotels (hence the name) and hospitals, but also in the home. Another major advantage - also compared to covers with zippers - is that they are easier to handle when washing and, above all, when ironing .
