House of Yes - Live from House of Blues is the title of a live album and a live DVD by the British progressive rock band Yes from 2000. With their 24th album, Yes released their fourth live album.
Emergence
The album was released during the The Ladder Tour, which took place from September 6, 1999 to March 25, 2000 and consisted of a total of 83 shows, on Sunday, October 31, 1999 in Las Vegas in the House of Blues in front of 1,000 spectators recorded. Yes had previously been to Latin America and the USA. The concert in Las Vegas was the 22nd concert on this tour. Only in Latin America did the band play in front of a large audience (2,000 - 8,000 spectators), the rest of the tour took place in smaller halls that only hold around 1,000 to 3,000 visitors.
The set list for the concert in Las Vegas was:
- Firebird Suite
- Yours Is No Disgrace
- Time And A Word
- Homeworld (The Ladder)
- Perpetual change
- Lightning strikes
- The Messenger
- Ritual - Nous Sommes Du Soleil
- And you and I
- Close To The Edge
- It Will Be A Good Day (The River)
- Face to Face
- Hearts
- Awaken
- I've Seen All Good People
- Cinema
- Owner Of A Lonely Heart
- Roundabout

Review
House of Yes from the tour to The Ladder is now considered the weakest live album by Yes. The main criticism was that, with Close to the Edge and Hearts, two pieces that were important for the band's history were omitted (according to concertgoers, Yes made too many mistakes during these two pieces), and on the other hand, that they all too often helped themselves with post-production. Playbacks were also used for the songs from The Ladder . On the DVD you can see Jon Anderson shrugging his shoulders apologetically between two tracks. On the other hand, you can also see that Anderson sings a wrong text in Perpetual Change (after about 2:50 min.) (Bass player Chris Squire grins at him), but you can hear the correct text. Anderson's lip movements do not match the tone accordingly.
