Hovik Ch. Djivanjan

Hovik Chanlari Djivanjan ( Armenian Հովիկ Խանլարի Ջիվանյան ; born January 6, 1972 in the village of Tschartar , Martuni province ) is an Armenian politician of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic .

Life

Hovik Djivanjan was born on January 6, 1972 in the village of Chartar in Martuni. In 1989 he finished secondary school in the village of Chartar, in 1995 he graduated from the law faculty of Yerevan State University . From 1990 to 1997 he was active in the armed forces. He was first battalion commander and then deputy commander of the 2nd Circle of Defense. From 1998 to 1999 he was deputy public prosecutor in Hadrut, before he became head of the military police in Martuni from 1999 to 2005. Hovik Djivanjan has been awarded the Order of the First Degree Combat Cross.

On June 19, 2005 he was elected as a member of parliament in the elections for the fourth National Assembly after proportional representation on the electoral list of the party " Free Homeland ". On June 30, 2005, during the first plenary session, he was elected deputy chairman of the National Council's standing committee for questions of constitutional law. On December 13, 2007, he was appointed advisor to the Prime Minister. In the elections for the fifth National Assembly he was confirmed as a member of the parliament, and he also retained his committee post.

Hovik Djivanjan is married and has two children.
