Hovik Hovhannesyan , also Hovik Hoveyan ( Armenian Հովիկ Հովեյան ; born November 23, 1956 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian writer and politician.

Life

From 1973 to 1978 he studied at the philological faculty of the Yerevan State University . After graduating, he worked for radio and television. From 2001 he was also the secretary of the Armenian Writers' Union. He also taught journalism at Yerevan University. He joined the Armenian Land of Law Party . From May 3, 2004 to January 5, 2006 he was the Armenian Minister for Culture and Youth.

Hovhannesyan works as a writer, translator, journalist and screenwriter. He is married and has two children.
