Hoyo Colorao
Hoyo Colorao is a Cuban band of eight members whose music combines elements of Nueva Trova and rap .

biography
In 2000, Humberto came up with the idea for the project and, out of experimentation, teamed up with Karoll to find out what would happen when they combined their talents.
What connected the two from the start was their desire to take a musical stand against social misery and war. This is how an independent variety emerged from Caribbean music tradition and elements of rap, in which melodic singing and rhythmic spoken chanting alternate and form a complementary whole with accentuated political content.
In addition to criticizing the Iraq war, they sing about the social fate of a Cuban who makes his way to Miami in order to improve materially and returns home as a failed man.
The name of the band refers to the hometown of the band's founders, west of Havana: Before it was given the name Bauta , which is used today, it was called Hoyo Colorado by travelers because of its location in a depression and the typical red earth, in German: “Colored Hole".
Concert tours
A lightning tour as guests of LatinArt took the band to Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bochum, Wuppertal and Hagen in 2005.
