Huangmei

Huangmei County ( Chinese  黄梅县 , Pinyin Huángméi Xiàn ) is a district in the Chinese province of Hubei . It belongs to the administrative area of ​​the prefecture-level city of Huanggang . In 1999 it had 979,464 inhabitants.

The pagoda of the Sizu Temple (Sizu si ta 四 祖 寺塔) - a temple named after the Fourth Patriarch ( Daoxin ) of Chan Buddhism - and the Monastery of the Fifth Patriarch (Wuzu si 五祖 寺) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
