Career

After MSV Duisburg's first relegation from the Bundesliga in 1982, the 24-year-old Schwarz was added to the squad following the 1982/83 season. On August 14, 1982 he was in the starting line-up in a 1-0 defeat against FC Augsburg and played until the 62nd minute, making his professional debut. In the further course of the season he often came to other missions as a striker , but could not fight for a regular place and on January 22, 1983 recorded his only goal win in a 3-0 win against BV 08 Lüttringhausen . The team remained far from a possible re-promotion and reached the mid-table.

In the 1983/84 season he was considered significantly less under the new coach Luis Zacarias and was only in the starting XI. The MSV reached the relegation round for promotion, but was inferior without the participation of Schwarz Eintracht Frankfurt . At the summer break of 1984, his professional career ended after two years with 24 second division games and one goal.
