The Hubert Stüken GmbH & Co. KG is a manufacturer of deep-drawn parts of metal. The company, which has existed since 1931, now employs around 1300 people. The production sites are located in Rinteln an der Weser in Lower Saxony , in Fountain Inn in the US state of South Carolina, in Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic and in Shanghai in the People's Republic of China.
history
In 1931 Hubert Stüken (1900–1966) set up his own business in Wuppertal . His first products were automatic button assembling machines and wheels for toy cars.
In 1944, Stüken opened a branch in Rinteln. After the Second World War, the company produced metal household goods such as tea strainers, nutmeg graters and can lids, but also machines for planing wood and closing cans.
Wilhelm Schwarz, Hubert Stüken's son-in-law, joined the company in 1949. At the time, 15 employees were producing mounts and hose sleeves made of steel and brass using the deep-drawing process. In 1950 the company's headquarters were relocated to Rinteln. In 1956, large parts of the factory were destroyed by fire. Just two years later, the hundredth employee was hired, and annual sales exceeded one million DM for the first time.
In 1969, the first was transfer presses introduced and the introduction of progressive die technique was carried out a few years later. The production of small deep-drawn parts in large numbers was further streamlined and additional production halls were added.
In 1997 Stüken established its production site in Fountain Inn , South Carolina, United States , and in 2005 took over a toolmaking company in Hradec Králové , Czech Republic. With this, Stüken started manufacturing punching tools and precision punched parts. Another production plant was opened in Shanghai , People's Republic of China , in 2006 . In 2011, Stueken Precision Deep Draw Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to a new production facility in Shanghai. In 2012, Stüken opened a new plant in the Rinteln-Süd industrial area. The production area in the Czech Republic was expanded in 2016 by 5,600 m² to 10,600 m².
Products
The core competencies of Stüken include: deep drawing, punching and punch bending, plastic encapsulation and assembly production.
The precision deep-drawn parts are produced in large series on transfer presses and stamping machines. The materials used are molybdenum, steel, stainless steel in various alloys, brass, copper, nickel and aluminum. The environmental management system according to ISO 14001 and the energy management system according to ISO 50001 are used .
