Hunt class

Hunt class (the name means hunt and goes back to fox hunting ) denotes different classes of ships:

  • Hunt-class (1916) , Royal Navy minesweepers built in 1916 (20 units)
  • Hunt-class (1939) , ships used primarily for escort protection by the Royal Navy during World War II (approximately 93 ships were built)
  • Hunt-class (1978) , Royal Navy minesweepers built between 1978 and 1988 (13 units)
  • Hunt class (2015) , ship class of the Thames Clippers shipping company, London
