The Huntress Glacier is a glacier on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows in a south-westerly direction to the head of False Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the schooner Huntress under Captain Christopher Burdick († 1831) from Nantucket , who had visited the South Shetland Islands between 1820 and 1821.
