The False Bay ( English for False Bay is) a bay on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . Your entrance will be marked by Barnard Point and Miers Bluff .
The American navigator Nathaniel Palmer drove into this bay in thick fog in November 1820, mistakenly assuming that it was the neighboring South Bay . This incident gave the bay its name.
