The Ruen Icefall ( Bulgarian ледопад Руен ledopad Ruen ) is a glacier break on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows from a basin , which is dominated by three of the five peaks of the Friesland Ridge , and flows into False Bay . It is located 5.1 km south of Willan Nunatak and 4.1 km southeast of Napier Peak .

The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 1996 after the Ruen , the highest peak of the Osogowo Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria .
