The Napier peak is about 340 m high mountain on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises on the western flank of the Huntress Glacier near the head of False Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1990 after Captain William Napier, skipper of the schooner Venus from New York , who operated in the waters around the South Shetland Islands between 1820 and 1821.
