Otto Weis

Otto Weis , also Otto Weiß , (* around 1890 , † after 1943 ) was a German architect . His most important building is the Stadtbad Lichtenberg , planned together with Rudolf Gleye and completed in 1928 , which is now a listed building.

Life

After completing his training, Otto Weis moved to Friedrichsfelde near Berlin and got a job in the Lichtenberg community . He took his apartment in Wilhelmstrasse 4 (from 1976 on Alfred-Kowalke-Strasse ). From 1920 he was the municipal building officer in the newly created Lichtenberg district administration. Around 1932 he moved to Karlshorst , Frankestraße 37 (since 1976 Rudolf-Grosse-Straße). Two years later he lived in Gundelfinger Strasse 29}, a three-story apartment block. He was appointed senior building officer.

Otto Weis must have died after 1942, because the last address book available online for 1943 mentions him in Karlshorst.

So far, no other buildings he has created have been identified (as of April 2019).
