Hursærin

Hursærin ( Ossetian Хурзӕрин , roughly: shining sun, shine) is the name of the largest newspaper in Ossetian that is published in South Ossetia (the Russian- speaking Juschnaja Osetija and Respublika have a higher circulation). Its editor-in-chief is Juri Gæbærati . The newspaper appears daily and was founded in 1924. From 1932 to 1957 she was called a communist (Коммунист), then until the end of the Soviet era, Soweton Iryston (Советон Ирыстон). According to information from 1975, the circulation was 13,000 copies, but in 2007 it fell to a good 3,000 and in 2008 to 1,700.
