Hyper Neo Geo 64
Hyper Neo Geo 64 is an arcade system from SNK . It is the successor to the popular Neo-Geo system, but was designed for 3D graphics.
General
SNK brought the Hyper Neo-Geo 64 in 1997 as a board for amusement arcades . This step became necessary because the competition was already delighting customers with 3D games at the time. However, the Neo Geo, known for its fighting games, couldn't.

- CPU: 64-bit RISC processor
- 4 MB RAM, 64 MB program memory
- Color palette: 16.7 million colors
- 96 MB vertex memory, 16 MB texture memory
- 128 MB of memory for sprites , 64 MB for sprite scrolling
- Sound: 32 channels, 44.1 kHz sampling frequency, 32 MB wavetable RAM
Despite the relatively good hardware specifications, the HNG64 could not keep up with the competition from Namco and Sega at the time.
