Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition ( jap.ワイルドアンビション) is an arcade - fighting game , which in early 1999 in the arcades appeared. A version for the PlayStation was released in Japan in June 1999 and in North America in December of the same year. The title retells the story of the first part of the Fatal Fury series . It was the last arcade game to use the relatively unsuccessful Hyper-Neo-Geo-64 hardware. It is the only game with this hardware that has been ported to another system.

Gameplay

Like most of the titles in the Hyper Neo Geo 64 system, it was the first in the series to appear in 3D graphics . Otherwise the actual gameplay remained largely untouched. The key assignment corresponds to that of Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers . The biggest innovation is the heat meter (replaces the power meter ), which is refilled with each attack and makes the attacks more powerful.
