Hyperimmunoglobulins are obtained through repeated vaccination (e.g. of a horse ) against a certain pathogen (so-called hyperimmunization ). The hyperimmune serum is obtained from the blood. The so-called hyperimmunoglobulins are obtained through further purification of the immunoglobulin fraction.
