Išme-Dagan (Isin)

Išme-Dagān was a king of Isin during the Isin-Larsa period . He was the son of Iddin-Dagān . He exercised a secure rule over southern Mesopotamia. Among other things, a reinforcement of the Isin city walls is attested by him. According to the year name , he was also active in social legislation . Legal texts by himself, like that of his successor , have not yet been found. Literary works praise him for rebuilding the destroyed Nippur .
