Immune Epitopes Database

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Immune Epitope Database is a database for published epitopes of T cells and B cells as well as for binding properties of antigens to MHC complexes.

It is operated by the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology (LIAI) in California and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) co-financed. The database is a merger of the databases FIMM (Brusic), HLA Ligand (Hildebrand), TopBank (Sette), and MHC binding (Buus).

The focus is on the new and recurring pathogens defined by the NIAID as well as on safety-relevant pathogens. In addition, programs for analyzing epitopes and predicting MHC binding are offered on the site.
