The Sollefteå HK is an established in 1977 the Swedish ice hockey club from Sollefteå . The team plays in Division 2 .

history

The club was created in 1977 through the merger of the ice hockey departments of Sollefteå IK and Långsele AIF. The team played under the name IK Polar for the first eight years of its existence before the current name Sollefteå HK was adopted. The club was able to draw national attention for the first time when it played from 1984 to 1991 in Division 1 , which was then still second class . Since the turn of the millennium, the team has regularly competed in Division 1, which is now third class. In 2018, the team had to accept relegation from the league, now known as Hockeyettan , to fourth-class Division 3 .
