IMKA is the abbreviation for Interministerial Coordination Committee for Information Technology in the Federal Administration.

The Interministerial Coordination Committee for Information Technology in the Federal Administration (IMKA) is responsible for advising the highest federal authorities in matters of information technology. The committee forms a forum for the exchange of experiences and promotes cooperation between authorities. One of his tasks is to advise on drafts or general regulations and recommendations for IT use.

The IMKA includes the IT managers of all the highest federal authorities.

A representative of the Federal Commissioner for Economic Efficiency in Administration (BMV) is there in an advisory capacity.

The KBSt holds the chairmanship of IMKA .

The IMKA fulfills the task of advising on IT matters of general importance for the federal administration and, if relevant, for several highest federal authorities. Furthermore, drafts of general regulations and recommendations are discussed as well as the matters of the KoopA ADV (Cooperation Committee for Automated Data Processing Federal / State / Local Area)
