Ibaka (status weapon)

The Ibaka is an African status weapon . This knife was used by the Ntomba , Sengele , Lia and Ngata , who live west and northwest of Lake Mai Ndombe in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

The Ibaka has a spoon-like blade . The middle of the blade is pierced. The wooden handle is widely used as decoration with brass wrapped.
