The Ibiza Kurier (in the publisher's spelling: IBIZA KURIER) is a monthly, German-language regional newspaper published by the Camino Group Agencia de Comunicación on the Spanish island of Ibiza .
Editor-in-chief and editorial staff
Editor-in-chief and founder of the newspaper Ibiza Kurier is the German journalist Friederike Diestel. Diestel comes from Leonberg near Stuttgart. Before founding the Ibiza Kurier, she worked for the Böblinger Boten and the Leonberger Kreiszeitung . In 2008 Diestel decided to move to Ibiza. There she first published her own small-format events booklet with an editorial section on the subject of nightlife in Ibiza, which is still published today under the title “Clubbing Bible”. In 2010 Diestel founded the marketing and publishing agency "Camino Group". The German monthly newspaper Ibiza Kurier has been published there since 2013, with the latest local news from Ibiza and Formentera .
According to the company, the Ibiza Kurier publishing house employs 16 people.
Content and publication area
As a monthly newspaper, the Ibiza Kurier tries to cover all the important current reports on local politics, economy and culture in the Pityuses and to prepare them for the German-speaking readership. There is also information on events, more detailed reports on island topics and interviews with local greats.
The area where the Ibiza Kurier appears are the Pityus islands of Ibiza and Formentera. There the monthly newspaper is primarily sold through newsagents and kiosks. In addition, the Ibiza Kurier can also be purchased by subscription, which is mainly used by readers based in Germany.
