Ibrahim Abdulaziz Al-Assaf ( Arabic إبراهيم بن عبد العزيز العساف, DMG Ibrāhīm b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-ʿAssāf ; * January 28, 1949 in Uyun al-Jiwa ) is a Saudi Arabian politician .

Life

Al-Assaf studied at King Saud University , the University of Denver and Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Abdulaziz Al-Assaf was Minister of Finance in Saudi Arabia from January 30, 1996 to October 31, 2016 as the successor to Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Khuwaiter . He was succeeded as Finance Minister by Mohammed Al-Jadaan . He is married and has four kids.

On November 4, 2017, he was arrested along with eleven princes, four ministers, many ex-ministers and business people as part of the 2017 anti-corruption campaign in Saudi Arabia .
