I am good to you!

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am good to you! is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 455). The work was premiered on October 14, 1894 in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein under the direction of Eduard Strauss . The waltz was then dedicated to Julie Kalbeck, the wife of Max Kalbeck, the fellow librettist in the operetta Jabuka.

Remarks

The composer has put the work together based on motifs from the operetta Jabuka . It thus joins a series of compositions (opus numbers 456 , 457 , 458 , 459 and 460 ) that take up all the themes from this operetta, but which, unlike this waltz, may not come from Johann Strauss himself. The first performance of the waltz took place just two days after the first performance of the aforementioned operetta Jabukba (October 12, 1894) as part of the celebrations for the 50th musician anniversary of Johann Strauss (son). The playing time is about 10 minutes and 11 seconds plus or minus a few seconds depending on the musical conception of the respective conductor.
