Ichijō no tsubone

Ichijō no tsubone ( Japanese 一条 の 局 , unreformed spelling: 一條 局 , dt. "Court lady Ichijō") was the name of several wives of various Japanese rulers.

1. Ichijō no tsubone

The first Ichijō no tsubone was a daughter of Fujiwara no Sanetoshi . She was first lady -in- waiting of the Yugimon-in , then the concubine of Go-Uda (r. 1274-87), to whom she gave birth to Prince Yoshiharu .

She later became the wife of Go-Daigo (r. 1318-39), with whom she had the princes Sera-shinnō or Yoyoshi-shinnō ( 世 良 親王 ), Seison-hosshinnō or Jōson-hosshinnō ( 静 尊 法 親王 ) and a daughter .

2. Ichijō no tsubone

She was the younger sister of the Senkōmon-in Saneko . At first she was court lady of Go-Fushimi (r. 1298-1301). Then she served Hanazono (r. 1308-18), with whom she had the Prince Kakuyo-hosshinnō ( 覚 誉 法 親王 ).

3. Ichijō no tsubone

This daughter of Fujiwara Kimikage was a lady-in-waiting of the first emperor of the northern dynasty Kōgon (r. 1332-3). At first she had served the Bianmon-in (= Taino Okata ). She gave birth to Prince Yoshihito-shinnō ( 義 仁 親王 ) to Tennō .
