Idan Tal (born September 13, 1975 in Petah Tikva ) is an Israeli football player .

Career

The Israeli left attacking midfielder's youth club was Hapoel Jerusalem. From 1994 to 1996 he was also a professional at this club. From 1997 to 1998, the Israeli played 71 competitive games for Maccabi Petah Tikva. After a brief appearance at Hapoel Tel Aviv in 1998, Tal moved to UD Mérida in Spain . After seven competitive games at Maccabi Petah Tikva, the midfielder went to the British Isles for Everton in October 2000 . In 2002 he went south, in the Spanish Primera Division to Rayo Vallecano , where he was under contract for a year. In 2002, Tal went back home to Maccabi Haifa . In the 2006/2007 season, the Israeli international was under contract with Bolton Wanderers . Then he moved to Beitar Jerusalem .

Tal has played 60 times for the Israeli national soccer team and scored six goals, and he also played 13 times for the Israel Under-21 team.
