I f channel inhibitors are a new class of substances with the lead substance ivabradine . They specifically inhibit the opened I f channel ( HCN4 from the HCN channel group) on the heart and thus lower the heart rate . I are used for channel inhibitors for the treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris in patients with normal sinus rhythm , in which beta-blockers contraindicated are incompatible or insufficiently effective.
