The Iga Football Club Kunoichi ( Jap. 伊賀フットボールクラブくノ一, Iga Futtobōru Kurabu Kunoichi ) is a Japanese women's football club in Iga , Mie Prefecture , who in 1976 as Iga-Ueno Kunoichi Soccer Club ( 伊賀上野くノ一サッカークラブ, ~ Sakkā Kurabu ) was founded. In 1989 the name was changed to Prima Ham FC Kunoichi ( プ リ マ ハ ム FC く ノ 一 , Purima Hamu FC Kunoichi ). The club had its most successful period from the mid-1990s, when it was able to celebrate the Japanese championship twice and the Empress Cup three times . It was renamed to its current name in 2000. The club was able to correct its descent into the second division in 2008 in the following year.
