Iglesia ni Cristo
The Iglesia ni Cristo , also Iglesya ni Kristo , ( IPA : [iːˈglɛ.ʃɑː niː ˈkriːstəʊ] (INC), Tagalog for "Church of Christ") is a Christian church with around 2.7 million, mostly Filipino, members. The religious community was founded in 1914 by Felix Manalo , which, according to the Church, began the "last days" before the return of Christ. The "Iglesia ni Cristo" sees itself as the restoration of early Christianity .
Membership arises through baptism , which must be preceded by a Bible study . The doctrine of the Trinity is rejected by the faith community because of their understanding of the Bible, according to which the Father is the only true God, and Christ was created by him. The church teaches the all-death theory and the belief in a resurrection at the end of the millennial kingdom of Christ.
