Igor Bonciucov

Igor Bonciucov (born March 16, 1973 in Dubăsari ) is a former Moldovan cyclist .

Career

Already in his first season as a professional in 1996, when he started for the Italian team Roslotto-ZG Mobili , Igor Bonciucov was able to record an international success when he won the overall ranking of the Canadian stage race Tour de Beauce in his favor . Nevertheless, he could not find a team among the professionals in the following four years and therefore started for smaller amateur teams. During this time he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Romania and was able to place second in the Moldovan championship in the individual time trial in 1997, 1999 and 2000 and second in the road race in 1998. In the 2001 season he was signed to the Polish team Atlas-Ambra and Bonciucov thanked him with a stage win each at the Vuelta a Asturias and the Tour of Slovakia as well as winning the Moldovan championships in road racing. After another year with the professionals in the 2003 season for the Miche team , Igor Bonciucov ended his professional career.
