Igor Matwejewitsch Kostolewski ( Russian Игорь Матвеевич Костолевский ; born September 10, 1948 in Moscow ) is a Russian actor .

Igor Kostolevsky grew up in good circumstances. His father Matvej was the head of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Trade . Sin cousin is the composer and conductor Matvey Kostolevsky. Igor's parents wanted a serious career, and he entered the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering. But already in the third year he realized that he had to go to the theater. He entered the Moscow Art Theater School and passed the entrance exams for GITIS: in 1969, Igor became a student of the Faculty of Directing and Drama under the direction of Andrei Goncharov.
