Your travel companion

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Your Travel Companion leaflet is a publication published by the Austrian Federal Railways . It is available at about every second seat on most long-distance trains (Railjet, ÖBB-Intercity (ÖIC), ÖBB-Eurocity (ÖEC), Intercity (IC), Eurocity (EC) and Euronight (EN)) and is individual for each train run created.

content

The leaflet Your travel plan informs the travelers - updated every six months about

  • the train route,
  • the connecting trains from the intermediate stops and
  • the services on the train or at the station.

Most of the information is bilingual. If the train runs in Austria or to German-speaking countries, German and English are used. If the train goes to non-German-speaking countries, German and the respective foreign language are used.

On the first inside page there is an explanation of symbols and a list of abbreviations. From page two the stopping stations are shown with connections, tracks and distances, followed by advertising on the remaining pages.
