Iiyama Corporation ( Japanese 株式会社 イ ー ヤ マ , Kabushiki-gaisha īyama ), proper spelling iiyama , was founded in 1972 in Nagano ( Japan ) as a manufacturer of cathode ray monitors . Today, flat screens are primarily offered for use in the professional sector and in medical technology. The company has around 1000 employees worldwide, around 30 of them in Germany. In 2006 Iiyama was taken over by the Japanese MCJ Group. Iiyama has been part of Mouse Computer, a subsidiary of MCJ, since 2008. The headquarters of Iiyama is today in Chūō (Tokyo) , Iiyama International is in Hoofddorp (Netherlands).
