Ilya Gavrilowitsch Voznesensky
Ilya Gawrilowitsch Voznesensky ( Russian Илья Гаврилович Вознесенский ; born June 7, jul. / 19th June 1816 greg. In Saint Petersburg , † May 6 jul. / May 18, 1871 greg. In Saint Petersburg) was a Russian scientist and explorer, who explored Russian America and the Russian Far East .

One of the largest collections of ethnographic exhibits from Russian America was created in over 10 years of expedition . Voznesensky was one of the founders of the Russian Entomological Society in 1859.
