Ilja i Wladi ( Russian Илья и Влади ), formerly Faktor 2 ( Фактор 2 ), is a German- Russian band that works in the genres of hip-hop and pop . The band consists of Ilja Podstrelov ( Russian Илья Подстрелов ) and Wladimir Pantschenko ( Russian Владимир Панченко ), both of whom live in Hamburg .
history
Factor 2 was founded in 1998 after Podstrelov and Pantschenko met in Russia and wrote their first songs. In January 2005, two albums were released. With the song Krasawiza , the group won first place in the Solotoi grammofon ( German Das goldene Grammophon ) in August 2005 .
The third album followed in September. In the same month the band went on tour in Russia and held almost 100 concerts. In December her albums were sold 100,000 times. In 2006 the fourth album was released.
In 2007 the band lost the rights to the name Faktor 2 and then renamed itself to Ilja i Wladi . The fifth album Raritet followed in 2008 .
