The Illinois Terminal Railroad is an American railroad company based in Litchfield, Illinois .

The company is a subsidiary of Respondek Railroad . Since November 1, 2011, the Illinois Terminal Railroad has operated a 2.4-kilometer section of the former Alton – Hillsboro line on the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway . This will open up an industrial area and a North American Pipe Corporation plant in the city of Litchfield. There are transitions in Litchfield to the Norfolk Southern and the BNSF Railway .

A type GP10 locomotive (No. 1604) is available for operation. The locomotive is painted in the colors of the former Illinois Terminal Railroad, light green and yellow .
