Illustrated calendar

The Illustrirte Kalender - yearbook of events, efforts and advances in national life and in the field of science, arts and trade was published from 1846 to 1881 by the JJ Weber publishing house in Leipzig. The publisher and editor was Johann Jacob Weber .

The 78th edition of the Illustrirten Zeitung of December 28, 1844 contains a chronicle for the year 1843. The presentation of this chronicle is identical to that of the Illustrated Calendars and Yearbooks published later.

Issue no. 130 of the Illustrirten Zeitung of December 27, 1845 dispensed with a chronicle for the year 1844 and instead advertised with the 1st Illustrated Calendar from 1846. This 2nd (separate) chronicle was published by the publisher JJ Weber for the year 1844 350 illustrations. The foreword to the first edition of the Illustrated Calendar from 1846 was written by "the editorial staff of the Illustrated Newspaper" (later it is only called: "The editorial staff") and is dated December 1, 1845. Each Illustrated Calendar initially gives an overview of astronomical issues Apparitions. This is followed by a detailed chronicle shifted by two years. For example, the yearbook published in 1846 covers the events of 1844 and the yearbook of 1847 covers the events of 1845.
