Imad Hoballah

Imad Hoballah ( Arabic عماد حب الله, DMG ʿImād Ḥubb Allāh ; * around 1970) is a Lebanese university professor . From January to August 2020 he was Minister of Industry in the Diab cabinet .

Live and act

Imad Hoballah has taught at universities in the United States ( Syracuse University and Tulsa University ) and was a professor in Lebanon at the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Lebanese-American University LAU and the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (CNAM) in Paris active. He was CEO of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ART) in Lebanon for more than five years and Head of Telecommunications Technology for more than eight years. Since March 12, 2017, he has been Dean of the American University of Dubai.

On January 21, 2020, as a representative of the Shiite community and on the proposal of Hezbollah , he was appointed Minister of Industry in Hassan Diab's cabinet.

After Hassan Diab resigned as Prime Minister on August 10, 2020, the minister remained in office until a new cabinet was formed.
