Immunescape
The term Immunescape ( ɪˈmjuːnɪˌskeɪ̯p ) is a suitcase word from immune and escape (from the Latin immunis for "spared", "untouched"; and from the English escape for "escape"). The term describes mechanisms and strategies of
- Pathogens (see also immune evasion ) and
- Tumors (see also cancer immunotherapy ),
fooling the immune system and bypassing immune responses.
