Impeder

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In technology, an impeder (from Latin impedio = to block, to inhibit) is a kind of core or tool for the internal machining of pipes or holes:

  • in inductive heating it is a z. B. made of ferrite core of solenoids (inductors), which are used for internal heating of holes. The core here serves to increase efficiency and can have holes for the return line and the cooling water.
  • When processing the inside of pipes (e.g. deburring seam-welded pipes ), it is a tool holder that runs along the pipe
