Inés Ubici

Inés Ubici De Busso (born July 30, 1944 in Salto ) is a Uruguayan diplomat .

Ubici, who came from the western Uruguayan city of Salto and lived in this city until 1967, studied at the law and social science faculty of the Universidad de la República (UdelaR), and from 1963 to 1964 at Washington State University . At the UdelaR, she successfully completed her studies on October 27, 1972, when she received her doctorate. Ubici is married to Aníbal Busso and has a daughter born in 1976. She served in the diplomatic service in the Netherlands, Brazil, in 1993 during an impending coup in Guatemala and in Jordan. At the end of 2005 she was appointed Ambassador of Uruguay to Egypt. Her term of office there lasted until April 2011. She is also President of the Asociación de Funcionarios de Carrera del Servicio Exterior del Uruguay .
