Incentive Software was a British computer game developer from Reading . The company was founded in 1983 by Ian Andrew . The company's programmers included Sean Ellis and Ian's brother, Chris Andrew . Most of the company's games were developed using the Freescape rendering engine , which was also provided by Incentive.

The company later turned to developing virtual reality programs and changed its name to Dimension International . In 1991 the company was renamed Superscape again.
